HP asked Sparkcell to develop a creative concept to introduce HP Converged Systems, a new enterprise IT solution, at its massive annual technology showcase event called HP Discover.

HP billed HP Converged Systems as the “Technology of the Future” for enterprise computing. To design an engaging creative platform for the solution, Sparkcell took inspiration from some much anticipated events occuring in popular culture at the time.

Fans of the iconic 1985 movie Back to the Future were gearing up to celebrate October 21, 2015 the date Marty McFly, the movie’s central character who rode a hoverboard. At the same time, a Silicon Valley company called Hendo announced it had invented the world’s very first, honest-to-goodness levitating hoverboard (later named one of the year’s best inventions by Time Magazine).

Our team brought HP and Hendo together to create a powerful campaign around shaping the future of technology. We produced a video of an HP executive for the keynote presentation at HP Discover. We also designed an experience for the Converged Systems booth and a social media campaign.
